Working with health information
Viewing and editing Fluffy's health information can be done via the health information page.
How to bring up the health information page:
- Click on the "Health" button on the bottom toolbar.
- Click on the "Information" tab.
The "Current Veterinarian" combobox contains a drop down list of all contacts derived from your Address Book. Editing the combobox, instead of selecting from the drop down list, will trigger Fluffy's Log's attempt at auto-completing the veterinarian name with those from the list. If the new veterinarian is not from the list, Fluffy's Log will add a new contact in the veterinarian's name to Address Book and assign Fluffy to this new contact.
Each commit is preceded by appropriate sanity checks, as listed below:
- If "Current Veterinarian" is changed, Fluffy's Log checks that the new name is unique.
How to bring up the health information ailment page:
- Click on the "Health" button on the bottom toolbar.
- Click on the "Information" tab.
- Click on the "Ailment" tab.
Adding, editing, deleting and sorting rows from the tables "Ailment" follows from Working with tables.

How to bring up the health information medication page:
- Click on the "Health" button on the bottom toolbar.
- Click on the "Information" tab.
- Click on the "Medication" tab.
Adding, editing, deleting and sorting rows from the tables "Medication" follows from Working with tables.
Each commit is preceded by appropriate sanity checks, as listed below:
- If Fluffy's Log beeps when an attempt is done to change either the "Start Date" or "End Date", it means that you have tried either a non calendar date or that your "Start Date" is later than your "End Date". There is no error message for this case because beeping is the default Cocoa behaviour, yah... programming stuff.
- If "Medication" is changed, Fluffy's Log checks that the new name is unique.

How to bring up the health information growth page:
- Click on the "Health" button on the bottom toolbar.

- Click on the "Growth" tab.
The latest entries for "Weight", "Height" and "Length" is deduced and reflected in Fluffy's personal information detail.
Adding, editing, deleting and sorting rows from the tables "Growth" follows from Working with tables.
Each record in the table has a growth log. Selecting a record will display its log in the "Growth log" textview. Following Mac conventions, if multiple records are selected and not all the corresponding growth logs are exactly the same, the greyed out text "Multiple selection" will be displayed. Editing the "Growth Log" while multiple records are selected will change the logs of all the selected records.
Adding, editing and deleting "Growth Image" follows from Working with photo snapshot.
Each commit is preceded by appropriate sanity checks, as listed below:
- If Fluffy's Log beeps when an attempt is done to change "Date", it means that you have tried a non calendar date. There is no error message for this case because beeping is the default Cocoa behaviour, yah... programming stuff.
- Each record date has to be unique.
- At least one of "Weight", "Height", "Length" has to have an entry.
